We had high expectations from Sankalp, but sadly, today’s experience was enough to ruin a special day for us. Today was my friend’s birthday, and we decided to celebrate it at Sankalp Restaurant. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing due to the staff’s behavior.
Despite the restaurant being almost empty (only 4-5 tables were occupied), the staff insisted that we take a table of their choice. We politely requested multiple times to be seated at a table by the wall, as we were not comfortable with the table they were assigning us. However, one staff member (a girl in particular) was very rigid and refused to accommodate our simple request, even though there was no valid reason not to.
We felt unwelcome and disrespected. As paying customers, our comfort and preference should have been considered, especially when the restaurant was not busy. In the end, we chose to leave without dining there.
What disappointed us the most was that no one from the staff seemed to care that we were leaving. There was no attempt to resolve the issue or even acknowledge our concerns. This kind of attitude shows a serious lack of customer service and respect.
